My inspiration in SM is Taeyeon. Prior to her debut, Taeyeon almost didn't debut. As we all know SM's trainee program is intense and could be harsh on trainees. Tiffany at the time was Taeyeon's roomate and she recalls going home finding Taeyeon and all of her stuff gone. They said she went home and almost gave up but she came back and eventually debuted. SM's training is completely natural in my opinion. Those obstacles and harsh training makes the artist stronger around excessive judgments of stupid people in the Internet. Also when Taeyeon was a child, she was discovered by an SM vocal trainee and started training for SM. Her father didn't want her to be a singer so he even asked SM to stop training Taeyeon. Also because it was tiring for the child since they lived in a small province and they had to travel to Seoul for the training. However since Taeyeon was very passionate and loves to sing, her father traveled with her to Seoul every weekend for hours until she is finished.

This song has given me so damn strength and courage to continue fighting depression and anxiety. Not only this song, but Amber. I grew up getting bullied everyday. This is the Amber(or any other celebrity w this kind of mindset) i like and can appreciate. This is why i like her, well even if not since the 1st min, but after i knew her and what kind of person she is behind a status (as an entertainment worker; idol), my love is just growing for her. Keep doing well~✊ Everytime i listen to your advices ut gives me strength, like im listening to my big sis. So thx♡♡ Once a girl called me Amber(it was a mistake, not my real name) i didnt wanted to ruin her sparkly mood so i let her go with it, and after a short time - now i really dont mind that she did that😉

My mom is a counselor, and she shows this song to her clients sometimes. She has one client who listens to this song everyday to help her get through her struggles (at least she used to. My mom says she hasn't seen the client in a while). I think it's amazing how much this song really helps people. I hope Amber knows how much her music means to people. I even recommended this song to my Geometry teacher when she was getting bullied by the kids at my school (long story). Idk if she listened to it, but I hope she did. Amber is so inspiring, talented, kind, and beautiful. I hope Amber always knows this. I love you, Amber! My mom loves you, too! We're huge fans of yours! You're our favorite female singer!

I missed watching thinking I was too old to justify buying a ticket... Which I will always regret. Amazingly I got to meet her just after she got done shooting video footage in front of the Staples Center. She is so friendly, sweet and beautiful in person. She took selfies and singled autographs. Glad I had s chance to tell her how much I appreciate her being a role model!!!

My comment will probably be lost in the thousands of fans, but back when I first found this song, I blasted it on my speaker heavily when suicide or self harm or any really negative things I had going on then, I would listen to this song. this song helped me come out to my parents that i am lesbian♥ it hit hurt because all these lyrics are all the feelings that i felt before telling them, i always felt pressured and different. i didnt know how to feel about anything before i came out. TBH the first girl i asked out regected me and she never spoke to me after that really. so this song helps me fight homophobia and fight these borders that ignorance has created

I've forgotten about this song and now, when I'm having a really hard time it popped out in my head and I'm glad it did. I'm trying to get out of depression, I've just started working, and as a really young person it is hard for me, I'm exhausted and my mental illness doesn't help, but this songs helps me a lot. Even after one listening of it, I feel like I'm getting stronger and closer to who I want to become - I'd never give up on my journey and face the hard moments in my life with my head up, so that I can make my dreams come true and make my life better. I hope you all will do the same - please don't give up and try your best, the way to happiness might be hard, but there's always a solution to every problem and at the end, it will all be okay. 💕

This song means a lot to me because just like the actors in this I had the same struggles (what they acted) and I realized I'm perfect in my own way and I'm crossing their borders to be my beautiful not theirs. wrong. it didn't save your life, it gave you the strength and courage to carry on. it helped you believe you could make it. the song didn't save you, it helped you save yourself. now before anyone gets mad or sassy with me, im not saying this to be rude, im saying it so people realize they always have the strength to carry on, sometimes you just need a little help

I'm pretty sure she's talking about not fitting in Korea's female beauty standards. We may see Amber as a beautiful queen but that's not everybody. When she says "No I won't play pretend" she means I won't pretend to be somebody I'm not meaning she will not pretend to be somebody to be "beautiful" or something like that

YT recommended it to me I clicked because I love Amber (I'm new to K-Pop so I don't know every song) and than I started to cry. My mother was never nice to me (except for a few times) there where high expectations into me I was never good enough and was compared to other kids. Also I was beaten nearly every day just because I couldn't solve some math. As a kid I also started to lie just to get that things that I wanted even tho it didn't help and I never got someone that I really wanted. And it was something like a new dress, so nothing complicated right? Because of her I wasn't good at social stuff and was bullied for 17 years of my life. Finally I left her at the age of 13 and came into a foster home. There I had also a hard time with a child carer who bullied me very hard and brought all the other people against me. I'm 19 now, don't have a family but built one by myself because there was another child carer who could build me up even just a little. In my group was a little girl, we grew up together and now she's my little sister for me. I have a dream and I want to achieve that. I want for her a better life as mine. She has also struggles and reminds me of my little self. And because of her and some close friends I'm willing to fight. If I succeed I want to give hope for people who are in the same situation as I was. Or even close to it. To people who gave up or want to give up because life was never nice to them. This song brought all these feelings back and I'm crying just because I understood what I survived by myself but that it also won't be easier for me. But I will fight and I'll go through the borders. Thank you, Amber!

Two years ago, my crush sent me this song and asked me if I would relate to it, and yea, I've watched it since it was released, til now. Amber and Ber'songs inspire me a lot

I am sobbing like a little lost puppy. I needed this song, thank you Amber.

I cried the first time I watched this.. I realized that this song might be telling people, that are suicidal.. like jonghyun.. to keep going, even if it hurts. This song reminds me jonghyun and about my struggles. I'm not suicidal, but I have harmed myself. Besides the fact that I just heard this song a month ago. And now I love amber.

i knew she has a lot of talent since i first saw her at f(x) Such a great song, Amber. I feel LIKE she can't show herself in fx, now we see how truly amazing she is

When I first listened to this song I was like „Who tf is that?“ and years later this song is still one of my favs and amber‘s still a role model and saving my life.

I've been waiting for 7 years to get out of the struggle and now I've passed it after fighting all these years. I'm so grateful finally I got out of it. But now I'm out in the world so there are many more people that I need to be patient with and I realized I'm much more stronger and I don't have to meet their expectation cause this is my life and I am going to change it with my own hands not theirs.

This came at the best possible time for me.

The sad thing about songs like this is that, you have to go through all that pain before you're able to make an amazing song like this, that other people get strength out of.

I love how amber can make us connet ot one another and it's beautiful, like people like me have depression or something like depression and amber is the one who can help us though the whole thing and i love that about her. LOVE YOU AMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hit like a train. you never know ot understand how much your idols go though until they tell fans. Then after you know, to see them smile everyday makes you so happy to know that even through it all they made it. I don't know personally, of corse, but I know that being famous isn't problem free. Everything is always a risk. What's bad is that Amber will get hate for this song when she shouldn't. I couldn't be more or proud of one of my idols. I'm back here again after seeing another sad post from Amber's ig, it seems like sm still doesn't give her the treatmenr she deserves. There are a lot of new groups and idols but doesn't mean that they can treat their other artists this way. This song had so many things in it that could touch anyone's heart for instance some of her verses.
