I'm 100% convinced if Taemin (and for that matter all of Shinee) wern't making korean music /hidden behind what people think Kpop is (so they never try it) he/they would be like 'Drake level' famous! I mean he IS still world famous. Like his videos get double digit millions of views and has fans in essentially every market. Lets not let BTS & Blackpink numbers dilute that this is considered the top few % of musical success 😄But I agree that if not for the language barrier he and Shinee would be even bigger 😉

I would go further and say K-pop is not a genre, but a niche. Taemin is currently the emperor in this land. And it's really a shame that he's not achieving the international recognition he deserves so much. He has the potential to be as great as MJ, but in his own style and merit.

For real. It shows how we are more interested in actually talking about Taemin and his art instead of just wanting to increase the number of comments. I mean i understand that having more comments is useful for making the mv trend but i enjoy much more a comment section filled with people genuinely appreciating the artist and the song. This is something that happens just with taemin

It shocks me that this comments section is full of people saying they think Taemin is underrated. He is an absolute institution in the industry and anyone who's anyone knows and respects him. I think this is just evidence that the international fandom has simply become too large because there are people driving view counts and which current groups succeed who really haven't the first clue... and perhaps more telling is that 50 million views is no longer considered successful by yall apparently.

I mean even with promotions he barely gets the view rates coming in. I think as fans its up to us to continue to push the promotions and hype him up. Also once those songs came out esp criminal it still has only went up to 1 million or 2 now and it been out for almost a full yr which is sad... So yeah they can promote all they want but if we don't put effort into it then this is what happens...

For those folks who are complaining the dances are not “in sync,” Taemin specifically said the intent was for him and the dancers to NOT be in sync. He wanted them to all have the same feel and movements but to not be in sync because that’s the point of the MV and the message of the song - to NOT conform to expectations. In fact, his hair, the set, the clothes are all a bit messy and slightly chaotic and off. Even the room he is in is small and doesn’t quite fit. The point is to NOT be in sync but to be off a bit.

Another milestone for Advice, it’s such an iconic song! Also another 16 days and Taemin begins the real second chapter of his career and I can’t wait to witness it and accompany him on his way to making all his dreams come true!

I just LOVE how he is constantly breaking gender stereotypes. his looks, his dancing style and his delivery are all not masculine nor feminine! they fit all of us and that's really impressive. Nobody is doing it like that!
