Wow, personally what i got from the mv: Jonghyun loves to make music (onew did that in the video), work out( taemin did that), dance (key) and minho resemble him as a hardworking person in the industry. Each of there action is base on what jonghyun love to do. And at the end he love the most is to be SHINEE so each of them will contineus for him. Also, i think that after the event that happend whrn onew taemin key and minho think of continues or not, they follow the blue moon and stand on stage again mean that they contineus to because what jonghyun had impacted on them. This is so beautiful. Jonghyun must be very happy that he had brothers that loves him and will continues his legacy.

샤이니 데뷔 이후로 언제나 샤이니의 존재와 곡들은 알고 있었지만 팬은 아니었는데 뒤늦게 샤이니 덕분에 인생 처음으로 덕질이라는 걸 해보는 늦덕입니다. 그리고 이제와 이 앨범의 가치를 뼈저리게 느끼고 있는 중이에요. 지금 생각해보면 종현이를 잃음으로써 가장 상처를 많이 받았을 사람들이 상처가 채 아물기도 전에 이런 곡을 녹음하고 뮤직비디오를 찍고 공연을 했다는 것이 얼마나 고통스러웠을지... 물론 오히려 상처를 드러내보이고 들여다봐주는 것이 회피하고 묻어두는 것보다 건강하게 이겨내는 방법이긴 하겠지만 그건 그 후의 일이잖아요. 이 당시에 이를 악물고 이 곡을, 이 앨범을 작업하면서 본인들의 상처와 상실을 들여다봤을 이 사람들이 참 대견하고, 대단하고, 자랑스럽고, 고맙네요. 늦덕이 된 이유는 샤이니의 음악성, 독창성, 인성, 팀워크 등등 많은 것이 있겠지만 무엇보다 이 사람들의 삶을 살아나가는 태도입니다. 제 주변 누구보다 저에게 삶을 어떻게 살아나가야 할지에 대해 큰 영감과 방향성을 주는 사람들이네요. 샤이니의 멤버 한명한명이.

this song wasn't made to trend and have 100 million views or what not, it's a song for shinee and shaowls to honour everything theyve done and jonghyun. it's a song for shinee and shawols to healthily accept what happened and to acklnowledge that shinee is always 5 and always will be and we will forever hold jjong in our hearts even if we have to keep moving on without him physically here. there's a reason this song is never performed

Of course it’s nice to break records and win on music shows, but shawols have matured on an entirely different level. We’ve experienced tragedy that no fan should experience, but we’ve come together and helped one another through it. And at the end of the tunnel is a light brighter than before. after watching it all day, I really see how these probably were what they did after Jjong's passing. Minho had his movie to film Onew concentrated on music maybe Key practiced a lot, maybe focussed on the comback (bc he is dancing to Good Night) Taemin went training what was something he and Jjong often did together. Also those scenes where time just passes by them, like the world is moving on even if it stopped for them.

5 years now and I always come back here and watch the same videos every year. I miss you Jonghyun ♥️ You did well Angel 🌹

A lot of fans said "i cant listen shinee whithout Jonghyun because i cry". I m not agree with this, Onew, Taemin, Minho and Key will must live with this all their lifes and even with this they continue this adventure for us and for Jonghyun so, please, listen them, respect SHINee even if they are physically only 4! This is beautiful. It's also the most emotional SHINee song ever. I won't deny it: it was hard to watch. Why? Because it depicts perfectly how it feels to mourn. The feeling of "why is the world still spinning while my loved one is gone? does my life still have meaning after this loss?". SHINee IS FORVER 5. SHINee boys are strongest, kindest and humblest Kpop idol group i ever know. I miss late Jonghyun 😢

I don't want to be a hypocrite, I learned more about SHINee after what happened. But I just remember the fact that even if I wasn't a fan, I cried my eyes out that day as I was considering the same thing around those days and I just broke down in tears looking at his fans. It's been almost 4 years and I haven't stopped listening to them since then. I'm sad I didn't meet them before, but they sure became one of my favorite groups in a very short time and I hope I can continue to support them

For once i’m speechless after watching a music vid. The emotions in their voices and expressions are so loud and raw, i’m cryinggg. Words can’t describe how proud i am to be a shawol, to stan an amazing group, to love 5 precious gems ♥️ Other artists and groups may come and go, but SHINee will always hold the special place in my heart. After all these years I wasn't able to listen to this song after Jonghyun's passing, I wasn't able to listen to SHINee since I mised him so much and it made me sad not seen them together , him, next to Key,Onew,Tae and Minho were a ray of light for me when I was a teenager and well after listening to this song I know that he will alway live in our hearts and Shinee's heart too♡ .

Talk about the group’s dreams … Jonghyun: “To keep our unique qualities as SHINee, and never to lose our direction and faith.”

I remember reading ‘the note’ online in 2018 but I wasn’t aware of SHINee as a group so much. Reading what Jonghyun wrote was so heartbreaking and this is coming from someone who just learned about k-pop in 2018. Fast forward to March 2019 I decided to try listening to a various k-pop artists and The Story of the Light captivated me in a way I never thought it would. I grew up listening to western music, particularly rock and indie but I’ve got to tell you there’s not a bad song on the album. Watching the video today has made me cry my eyes out. It’s so somber but at the same time a beautiful song where shinee are yearning for Jonghyun. I know it’s not something to be celebrated but why do I feel The Story of the Light should’ve won awards? I mean of the international kind.

Right at this moment 3:57 when I saw it. It got my eyes teary. Cause I knew this MV will bring a very deep feeling to it. To us. I also figured out the story that they are trying to tell us. 그 이야기가 이해요. 샤이니 오빠들 두 수고했어요. 사랑해요 ❤ 감사합니다 😊 파이팅하자, 마지막 까지.

The video shows their lives after the incident. Minho was recording the movie 'Inrang' for that moment and had to resume recordings in a short time. It shows Key dancing alone. Onew lately has been writing lyrics and the gym is a common thing for idols. That means they tried to continue with their routine, their activities. But it was like time goes by and they are in the same place. A burdensome. They decided to walk the same path together and stay five as SHINee was the best for them. Of course, this is my interpretation. ⚘

This is a very good idea of what I saw. My other interpretation was each of them showing a different part of Jonghyun's life - song writer, choreographer, acting, and trying to stay the shape/size people expected him to be in. Both interpretations make sense to me. I like yours.

So, my theory is..each of them potray a characteristic of Jonghyun. Like Onew is a composer, Key is a dancer, Taemin is seen working out and Minho is shown passionate with his action skills and photoshoot. The emotion conveyed in this MV is indescribable. And there is this scene where there is an empty spot for Jonghyun. His characteristics need him to be the complete Jonghyun. When the members of SHINee is seen walking towards the stage which was lit up with beautiful pearl aqua green bulbs which is SHINee's fandom color and maybe it indicates that Jonghyun's characteristics are and will be always close to Shawols heart because the members felt at ease when they were there on the stage. This is just my thought. 🌸✨💕

Someone mentioned that the MV shows them after 18th, how they were surviving through it all but not really living until they found comfort in each other and Shawol (pearl aqua lights) and the end, getting up on stage again surrounded by these lights (love and comfort from people around them) representing them starting to live their lives again as Jjong would've wanted them to do. I love that and agree, they have shared how they struggle at the beginning to the point they got counseling, I also think this is they way to show us that we can go through this together and keep going even if it's hard 💕🥀🌕

when Onew says “You did good” at the end, I swear, I couldn’t control my tears, and I’m not the type that cries. I’m not a Shawol, but i have listened to them for a while. When I heard about the loss, I did get sad. I think what made me cry was to see how much they cared, and how much their fans care about them, it’s really touching. Even though this song was for Jonghyun, it reminds me of my brother. He died on March last year, so about 2 months after Jonghyun’s death. This song is beautiful, and I will support SHINee, even if they are now serving their country, I will support.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This MV is one of the most beautiful and bittersweet pieces we could have ever received from them, because this is something that comes from their hearts. Eliza I salute their courage & have great respect for their resilience. Grieving is such a hard process. It’s very personal & sometimes they had to grieve in public. These guys deserve so much credit for how they handled themselves when most would have fallen apart. They are probably crying inside & pushing on. But they stayed together & SHINee are still here thanks to them & thanks to the memory of Jonghyun.
