Dude, I agree. Maybe I'm just drifting from K/J pop but I really can't get into some of the newer groups from the last three years. They all sound the same and it's all the same choreography. Blackpink is really the only big group I enjoy and even then a lot of their music has fallen off. Some sad times.

U know that unfortunately this is not that true. They just found a vibe that match them, their ages and the people's aproval. In the start they were going to promote RED and VELVET songs, wich means velvet songs were the classical red velvet's ballads, but after their 1st velvet single "one of these nights" ended up with not that impact caused by the others concepts, they promoted a LOT of time in a really "RED" vibe, starting from Roussian Roulette and almost till Psycho they were sutck in some weird concept songs, in my opinion. I still love the girls and the songs and concepts at all, don't misunderstand me, but don't forget the concept idea of them. It's like when time passed, they put some ''DARK" in the concepts too xD

Red velvet never disappoint us when it comes vocals.... Bridges are crazy...

Lol no. It’s just the fact that SM is known for having groups that are vocally strong, which isn’t a lie and there’s nothing wrong/ incorrect in mentioning that. Do other SM groups have the same vibe as RV? No. But like RV, do they do exceptionally well with vocals? Yes. And that’s what @miniya is pointing out; that of course RV is going to have strong vocals because majority of SM groups do. Something about this RV song just resonates with me on an emotional level so much. It talks about hope in the darkness, and love in the twisted situation - and the 'velvet' in the verse and 'red' in the chorus just makes total sense when look at it with the whole story. that's something i really like from RV but it will help them if they release something more western at least one mv in 2024, to close some haters mouth who are convinced that RV is irrelevant in 2024.

The thing about RV is they are always original. Always make you think. No one of their songs ever sounds the same. They are perfection in terms of quality and quantity. I love them so much!

This is one of their MVs that i keep rewatching, not just listening, but WATCHING. The storyline is just something i LIVE for.

Red Velvet continue to break the mould and raise their ceiling by releasing incredibly cinematic, alluring and mystifying MVs, there was so much to unpack from this. I really loved all of the members getting to act their heart out especially Joy and Yeri.

I have no words, I am mind blown. This is a concept red velvet pulls off so well istg. The vocals, the dance, EVERYTHING gave me LIETRAL CHILLS. props to them for this amazing comeback

i hope they will give them a High Budget and Quality MV for their 10th anniv! and make a super commercial iconic banger so everyone will be on their knees, please! i want them to hit a PAK! let's go RV this will be your year! ❤

i think one of the reasons why RV is still popular today is bc they dont follow trends (in terms of music) most kpop nowadays feels catered to the west with a lot of pop but RV always changes it up!!🥰

Exactly! Red Velvet is true to their music, to what they want to do, be experimental not always the same concept because it was "popular". They are a 10 year group and even sm most successful group in america, with not us label for album distribution, promoted there like the new groups do now.

@@urhypeboy You can fall in love more even if you like a song already. And just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean no one genuinely likes the song - I personally loved it at first listen. And yet it still made me fall in love more the more I listened to it.
